Soccer is a high-intensity sport which requires cardiovascular endurance and short bursts of intense activity – it’s draining. From a nutrition standpoint, the goal for our players every day should be to provide enough calories to support daily activity and exercise, replenish glycogen (energy), and repair lean muscle. On Sunday February 12th, registered dietician and nutritionist Andres Ayesta spoke to our players about what to eat and drink before their next match or training.
