Leadership Lebanon Valley February Newsletter
A Word from Our Chair
Welcome to the first edition of our Leadership Lebanon Valley Newsletter! Each month you will find a review of our prior month's activities as written by one of our class members, a "sneak peak" at the upcoming day, class member biographies, and recognition of the LLV board members and generous sponsors who make these days possible for our community leaders.
For those Chamber member businesses who have sent employees to be a part of the class of 2017 or in past years, THANK YOU for your commitment to developing leaders within our community. If anyone would like more information about LLV and how to enroll an employee for the class of 2018, please don't hesitate to reach out to Jessica Stankovich at the Chamber.
Finally, the LLV Board invites all community businesses to send their leaders to a one-day event on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. This "Leadership Day Workshop" will be jam-packed with great speakers and break-out sessions on a variety of topics that are pertinent to our work as business leaders. Please save the date - more information will be provided in next month's newsletter!

Opening Retreat Recap
Opening Retreat
January 9-10, 2017
Gretna Glen Camp & Retreat Center

Thank You to Our Sponsor: Ebersole  Honda-Buick-GMC

The 2017 Leadership Lebanon Valley class met for their opening retreat January 9th and 10th at Gretna Glen Camp & Retreat Center. The group learned about the eleven month program, the expectations for the class and for the individual group members. Current board members, Stephanie Andreozzi and Bryan Smith, discussed what was ahead for the year. They gave the group information on the various days to be help throughout the program and discussed the group project as well as the individual projects the group was expected to complete. A very interesting and informative part of the retreat was the temperament workshop where we learned our own temperament as well as the temperaments of the group members. We discussed how these temperaments would work in the group. These activities were a nice mixture of lecture, discussion and group activities. The class was able to network with representatives of some Lebanon Valley non-profit groups to get an idea what projects are available to the class members to complete their individual projects. We established group norms, discussed ideas for our group projects and developed a good working relationship with the other group members. The class is looking forward to a great year of leadership training, learning more about the Lebanon Valley and becoming the best class to graduate from Leadership Lebanon Valley.
