Parent Input Form
Each spring, the Greenwood team works together to collaborate on the creation of balanced learning groups. Many important variables are considered, and teachers who know your child well are part of the process. As balanced learning groups are formed, the principal assigns a teacher to each group of students. We have created a form that provides parents the option to provide input into this process.
Click HERE for a copy of our Parent Input form. Hard copies should be submitted in a sealed envelope to the main office by March 30, 2017. We strive to communicate class placement decisions a week before Open House. Class placements will be posted on the front doors and downloaded into Skyward's Family Access.
Please note: We ask that the form that is linked above is used for all parent input. This will help us ensure that important information is available to everyone in the placement process. Please do not rely upon verbal requests, conferences, e-mails, etc., to provide input; we've found that we can best serve kids when a consistent process/form is used.
Sincerely, Brad Gustafson, Principal

Mom and Daughter Book Club |
Are you the mom of a fourth or fifth grade student who loves to read? Would you like to be a part of a girls only book club? Mrs. Gibbons (Greenwood Media Specialist) and Mrs. Kirchner (Meadow Ridge Media Specialist) are hosting a "Girls Read" book club for a limited number of participants in fourth and fifth grade. We want this to be a mom and daughter book club in the hopes it will open up great conversations about the topics in the book. The book we will be reading is Sticks and Stones, by local author Abby Cooper. Here are all the details:
You will be expected to either purchase a copy of the book or get it from the public library. We also have 2 copies in our school library. First come, first served. Please read it/share it by the week of March 19. We will have a celebration of our reading as well as a meet and greet/question and answer session with the author on Thursday, March 23 at 6:30 in the Meadow Ridge Media Center.
Sign up soon! Click HERE. Space is limited.
Please note: this is meant to be a mother daughter event, not a student drop off activity. By participating you commit to reading the book along with your child and attending the event with your daughter. Questions? Please contact Linda at linda.gibbons@wayzata.k12.mn.us.
