Governor Rick Scott talks to Tampa business community
 
Governor Rick Scott visited Tampa this week to talk about the Florida House's attempt to eliminate economic incentives and tourism dollars through proposed legislation.  Many members of the Chamber's Executive Committee attended the roundtable discussion to show the Chamber's support for both agencies.
 
The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Opposes HB 7005, which eliminates Enterprise Florida and Visit Florida.



Chamber Leadership Meets with Newly Elected City Councilman Luis Viera

On Tuesday, Chamber leaders met with City Councilman Luis Viera to talk about local issues that are important to the business community and hear what the newly elected councilman would like to accomplish over the next two years.

Leaders also met this week with newly elected Hillsborough County Commissioner Pat Kemp Commissioner Kemp talked about issues that she will focus on while serving on the commission, including addressing the transportation needs of the region.
