Lower Cost Housing available!
Housing Authority wait lists are opening up
Housing demand continues to outpace supply, especially for lower-income residents.

The Federal Government's long-term disinvestment in public housing has made the problem worse, leaving tens of thousands of Bay Area residents without support.

But there is a bit of good news now.

The Housing Authority of Contra Costa County will open its low income Public Housing wait list on Monday, February 27 until Thursday, March 2. Applications will be available online only at www.contracostahousing.org beginning at 10 a.m. on February 27. For more information, please contact 925-957-8031.

The City of Pittsburg Housing Authority will also accept on-line applications for the Housing Choice Voucher program wait list (also known as Section 8), beginning Wednesday, February 8, through Friday, February 10, each day between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  The list may close earlier, depending on the volume of applications received, so the earlier the better!

Applicants can use any device with Internet access to complete the application, including mobile phones and tablets and most public libraries provide free internet access for application submission on-line. Applications can only be submitted on-line. This is open to anyone, regardless of where you currently reside.
Sincerely,
John
