Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc County: Saddle up your posse to mosey on over to Rudy's Lanes for the 2017 Bowl for Kids' Sake presented by Holy Family Memorial, UnitedOne Credit Union and Hot Country 92.1 WLTU. The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc County's annual FUNdraiser is on March 3, 4, 10 and 11 this year. So much good ol' country fun that it can't be contained in one weekend. Hope House of Manitowoc County: On Friday, February 10, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., and Saturday February 11, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Hope House will be having an indoor winter rummage sale as we prepare for our big move this summer. The rummage sale will take place at First Presbyterian Church located at 502 N 8th St., Manitowoc, where you'll find everything from household goods to children's and adult clothing. Proceeds for the sale will benefit Hope House and the families in our community who are at risk of homelessness. Thank you to First Presbyterian for hosting our sale and to Leadership Manitowoc County for planning and sponsoring the event.

Felician Village: Although estimates vary, approximately five million Americans may have Alzheimer's disease, a form of dementia. As the leader of dementia care in Manitowoc County, Felician Village introduces the 2017 Caregiver College. A variety of classes are held on the Felician Village campus, free of charge, to help those affected by this disease as well as those caring for them. Manitowoc Public Library: We invite you to visit us at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, to join Jim Moran, director of the Hamilton Wood Type Museum, for a visual and oral history of one of the Lakeshore's most popular and interesting destinations! Jim will bring along samples of wood type and give a talk about Hamilton's beginnings as a wood type factory, the company's history, and how it became the museum that it is today. This will be followed by an open discussion. As a bonus, everyone in attendance will receive a FREE museum admission coupon!
 
Service League of Manitowoc County is awarding a minimum of four scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000. Applicant must be a high school senior, a resident of Manitowoc County and have a 2.3 GPA or better. Applications must be postmarked or emailed no later than March 4.
