Before the end of 2017, Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence (WCPE) will have reached a major milestone: 20 years of working to elevate the performance of Wisconsin organizations. That is a decent start. While it is tempting to reflect on the impact and accomplishments we've had over those 20 years, it is the future that holds the greatest promise for us all. 
 
Speaking of the future, we have some very exciting and important things planned for 2017 to help you achieve everything you are capable of doing.

Over 40 learning and development events are in development for this year! Please check our  Events Calendar on the website in the next few weeks for some great development opportunities. Note: We are looking for low-cost/no cost venues to host many of these offerings - please contact us if you can help!
 
New Membership Benefits 
Our customers give us purpose, but our members give us potential. We value our member's commitment to building Wisconsin's Community of Excellence, and are excited to share the next major step forward in member benefits: the Wisconsin Benchmarking Exchange (WiBMX).
 
This brings us to three key member benefits:

We want you to become a member in order sustain WCPE and the Community of Excellence in Wisconsin. But you should become a member because of the return on your investment. A New Year, A New Criteria 
Every two years, the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program carefully evaluates and validates emerging leadership and process management approaches to identify best practices.  The result of their most recent analysis is reflected in the 2017-2018 Criteria for Performance Excellence, and feature a renewed focus on:
  • Managing all of the components of your organization as a unified whole;
  • Managing cybersecurity risks to data, information, and systems; and
  • Understanding the role of risk management within a systems perspective of organizational performance management. 
Organizations intending to submit a full 50-page application during our Summer 2017 cycle should write their application against the 2017-2018 criteria. Printed copies of the Criteria for Performance Excellence are available for $30 from WCPE as well as ASQ. Digital PDF copies of the criteria are $12, available from NIST. WCPE is offering Criteria Training on June 20 in Madison. We are also determining if there is interest to offer Criteria Training during the last week in March in the Wisconsin Dells. Email the Executive Director if you are interested in possibly attending this March date. 
Become Better Even Faster: Get Your Application Going in Two Days or Less!
New to Performance Excellence? Impatient for performance gains? WCPE offers the Wisconsin Challenger and Fast Forward application pathways to get you going in a hurry. Both of these opportunities offer external evaluation conducted by our outstanding Board of Examiners who will create a detailed feedback report for you, uncovering areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. You will also be recognized at our annual Awards Gala. Our Baldrige 101 workshop delivers an immersive, personalized introduction to Performance Excellence.  Baldrige 201 transitions from intent to action, coaching you through the development of your Wisconsin Challenger application in just 1 day. You will be ready to submit it for feedback after a little validating and polishing. Want the added detail that a Fast Forward application provides? WCPE can help your team draft your Fast Forward application in one day with our new Baldrige 301 Faster Fast Forward workshop. And don't forget: WCPE members are eligible to deliver the workshop to your site.  Contact us to schedule yours today.
