I always try to post a positive or uplifting message to get the newsletter off to a happy start. I wish that was the case here today, but sadly, I am not going to be able to do so. January 28th, we lost a dear friend. Kathy Stanley lost her battle with cancer and is now at rest. Kathy is survived by her Sister, Son, 2 Daughters and their families. They are all in our prayers during this time of grieving.
Kathy was a spirited soul. She was well known in our community and had a lot of knowledge of quilting & embroidery. She taught for a short time at Topaz Quilting & Embroidery and really made a huge impact on all those she helped and instructed. It was very sad when she left teaching last May due to her diagnosis of cancer. She gave it a strong fight & kept her head high as she battled against her illness.
I will keep her in my heart. I will always treasure her wise advice and wonderful friendship she gave me. As much as she will be missed, I know that she is happily smiling down on us, keeping watch over all the quilters & embroiderers as they create wonderful and beautiful gifts of love for family members and friends. Her machine may be silent now, but her spirit is sewing on...

Kimberbell Dealer Exclusive Classes . . .
Kimberbell is an "up and coming" embroidery design company. Kim Christopherson has been the driving force of Kimberbell Designs for many years. This year, Kim and her design team has branched out into a avenue exclusive to dealers. She is calling this first release Volume 1. Volume 1 features twelve exceptional project designs for a 5x7 hoop or smaller. The projects include completed, in-the-hoop designs, free-standing lace, and even a cute table runner. When you sign up for the class, you will receive the design(s) required for the class, directions and supply list. We will feature a new project every month and offer the class a couple times a month to make it convenient for your time schedule (hopefully).

: Wednesday, February 22, 2017 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm or
Saturday, February 25, 2017 - 12:00pm to 3:00pm

Note
: The PDF instructions & Design File(s) will be emailed to you so you can print the directions out and load the design(s) to your machine. A supply list will be included as part of the PDF instructions. You will want to review them prior to class so you can make sure you have everything you need. If materials will be supplied for the project, you will receive them the day of class.
