Greetings Church,
What an incredibly fast month this is! So today I'll be to the point and brief. We are having some issues with our new format of sending this out so bear with us as we work out the kinks. So in the meantime we are sending this the old way to make sure there isn't any confusion on where and if you are signed up. We are in need of help so please answer the call to reach out with the projects for this month.
February 21st Tuesday 1-2 PM at FUMC (I will be needing at least 3 people to help me canvas the area handing out invitations to our monthly meal done at the church.) It is crucial to the success of our meal that we go out into our community and invite the people as our guests. Last month while I was gone, no one did this and there was a huge drop in attendance. (3 volunteers)
February 22nd 10am- 1;15 PM Wednesday at FUMC Our monthly neighborhood meal. We would like at least 10 volunteers to help prepare, serve, and dine with our guests as we continue to make lasting relationships with our community. (10 volunteers)
March 6th Monday Oakland UMC Harvesters Food Drop 4-6:30 PM. We need at least 15 volunteers to help distribute food to those in need. It's easy, It's fun, and it is growing into a very large mission. (15 volunteers)
March 10th
Friday
Topeka Rescue Mission 4:30-6:30 PM. We need 7 volunteers to serve the meal. On average we serve close to 400 meals and is a great way to lend a helping hand to one of our great programs in our city. (7 volunteers)
So please feel free to sign up for as many events as you would like to help. The goal is that as soon as we can fill these on a regular basis, we start adding more activities. If we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, it has to start with you.
