Newman Center shoe collection
St. Thomas More Newman Center is collecting gently used shoes as a fund raiser for their spring break mission trip. Newman Center is collecting any adult  and children sized shoes, including athletic shoes. Once the shoes are received, they are processed for exports to various countries in South America & Africa, where they create thousands of jobs for small businesses who resell them as a means of supporting their families. It is a win-win situation: help our students attend their spring break mission trip helping the poor and needy in New Orleans, and help families in a third world country as well!
You can drop off shoes at the Newman Center Monday through Friday between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm or call the following number and we will arrange pick up! (458-215-4209)

Volunteer Opportunities
Graphic Design Volunteer Hours Opportunity
Each year we send out beautifully designed invitations for our sixth grade Living Saints Project. We are looking for someone with experience using Adobe InDesign who can create this year's invitations. We have templates available from previous years that would need to be updated with current information, and we would like a new design for the cover this year. If you would like to assist us with this for your FIP hours, please contact  Mrs. Obersinner. Thank you!
Auction Volunteers are needed!

O'Hara Clubs
School clubs offer the opportunity for students to explore special interests and are run by parent volunteers after school. A club can focus on just about any topic that kids might have an interest in - Legos, math games, chess, world cultures and languages, etc... are just a few of countless possibilities. If you are interested in leading or co-leading a club at O'Hara, please contact Mr. Milliron. Time spent volunteering will count toward FIP hours.

A list of clubs to be offered will be announced in the Bulletin as soon as club leaders are in place, and signups will follow soon after. The first round of clubs will begin in early February and end prior to Spring Break. Additional clubs may be offered after Spring Break and will be announced later this spring.
