NFCAR uses email for all of its communication using a number of different programs like, but not limited to, Quick Books (invoice and or statement delivery), Constant Contact, & Outlook (general notices, Association Newsletters, correspondence between staff and members).  It is the responsibility of the member to maintain a valid email address with the association at all times.

Attention - For those individuals who have not yet paid your NFCAR dues... NFCAR dues were due on January 1st, we've mailed out the invoices 3 times to you. As of now there is a $100 late fee added to the bill. Please contact NFCAR today to pay your bill.

NFCAR Office Closed On Monday, February 20th
The NFCAR office will be closed on Monday, February 20th in observance of President's Day. The office will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, February 21st.

Just a reminder - Caravans are not managed or operated by NFCAR - they are managed and/or operated by REALTORS®.  Rules and regulations apply to each of the individual caravans.  If you have any questions regarding the caravans, please call the contacts listed below.

Brookfield ;  Scheduled to meet the First and Third Monday of each month at 11:30 at Newtown Savings Bank 99 Federal Road, Brookfield. Listings should be phoned or emailed to Tom Lutz    prior Thursday at noon to be considered for the following Monday. The caravan listing reservations are based on a first come, first served basis. If there isn't a sufficient number of listings on the reservation sheet, the caravans will be postpones until they meet the minimum number. 
Danbury
Agents are encouraged to post their Broker Open House on the CMLS; on Wednesdays with a suggested time frame between 11:00am - 2:00pm.
To post an Open House on CMLS, go to edit listing, click 'Add Tour/Open House'

NFCAR's Offering A 15 Hour Pre Licensing Mandatory Course
Real Estate Legal Compliance: This Legal Compliance Course will review many of the major Connecticut Real Estate Regulations and Connecticut General Statutes a Broker needs to understand and follow in the course of their daily real estate practice and real estate business. Detailed explanations, interpretations, and tips are provided to help attendees understand the complex language and concepts of Connecticut real estate law. This course is one of the required courses for obtaining a Connecticut Broker's License, and is an essential review course for already licensed Brokers who want a refresher on Connecticut law and, in particular, provisions which Brokers need to be vigilant about when supervising and training their sales agents.
This program meets the minimum requirements as set forth by Connecticut's Real Estate Commission and is approved for 15 hours of Broker pre-licensing credit. This is one of the two mandatory 15 hour classes required to get your Broker license.

Dates:  May 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th & 16th
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00ppm

Pending Home Sales Bounce Back in December
Pending home sales picked up in December as solid increases in the South and West offset weakening activity in the Northeast and Midwest, according to the National Association of Realtors®.
The Pending Home Sales Index,* a forward-looking indicator based on contract signings, increased 1.6 percent to 109.0 in December from 107.3 in November. With last month's uptick in activity, the index is now 0.3 percent above last December (108.7). Click here to read the entire article.
