Highlights of the Year
"There is little that happens at Telluride Bluegrass Festival that is not epic." - Jake Schepps, No Depression
Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys are set to write a new chapter in Telluride history in June. The band is well-known to Colorado Front Range audiences from their regular appearances at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons, CO, the last time appearing with their fellow Americana Agency band, The Stray Birds. This year, Planet Bluegrass has booked the band to perform at their iconic Telluride Bluegrass Festival, joining roots music luminaries Yonder Mountain String Band, Bela Fleck & Chris Thile, Brandi Carlile, Elephant Revival and others.

The band will release its next studio album later this year, a follow up to their acclaimed 2015 release, Ionia.
It was recorded in the studios of
the Great North Sound Society in Parsonsfield, Maine. The album's producer is Sam Kassirer, known
for his production work for Lake Street Dive, Elephant Revival and other Americana bands.

2017 Touring Includes Many Other Prestigious Festivals
Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys closed out 2016 in a way that heralds what's to come in 2017 - they joined Greensky Bluegrass for two sold-out shows at the 2,000-cap Royal Oak Music Hall in Detroit.

The band wasted no time getting into their 2017 touring groove with a tour of the UK in January and February. One of the highlights was their show at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, Scotland, performed for Celtic Connections, a winter festival that attracts 100,000 music fans. US touring starts back up on March 1 with tours of the Midwest and Southeast through the end of April, when festival season returns.

From Colorado to Oregon (Sisters Folk Festival) to Kentucky (ROMP) to upstate New York (Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival) and many places in between, the band will treat Flatbelly Nation to concerts all over the country this year.

"The playing is superb...Lindsay's soulful voice, intriguing lyrics and creative melodies are passionate and captivating. The interplay between dobro and mandolin is elegant and so sonically pleasant that it's deceptively simple. It's sexy. Unique harmonies elevate amazing songs to unexpected heights." - Paul Hoffman, Greensky Bluegrass

"Call it what you want, Bluegrass, Lougrass, whatever! I call it great music. A gifted vocalist surrounded by equally gifted musicians playing their own brand of music is a can't miss for this music fan. - John Bommarito - WQKL-FM

"Lindsay really puts her heart into what she sings and how! She sings the way you would want to if'n you could. Phrasing, tone, emotion, it's all there. Effortless seemingly. Simply mesmerizing. Riveting! Don't miss the musical force that is Lindsay Lou." - David Grier, 3-time IBMA Guitar Player of the Year

"This is what happens when musicianship serves the heart and soul. This is what happens when 4 people travel 50,000 miles a year together in the same vehicle and have music for breakfast, lunch and dinner." - Seth Bernard, Founder, Earthwork Music
