Happy February! This month celebrates national School Based Health Center Awareness Month! One of the ways CASBHC is celebrating is announcing the new SBHC Issue Brief, "
School-Based Health Centers: Critical to Health Reform and Improved Outcomes for Students", produced by the CT Health Foundation. If you haven't read it yet the link to read it is below.
Mark your calenders -- CASBHC's statewide conference is Friday, May 5th, 2017 (more details below), and SBHC Advocacy Day at the State Capitol is Wednesday, April 26th, 2017.
On February
8th, Governor Malloy released his budget which calls for funding cuts to SBHCS. You can read more about the budget and the cuts below. Read about the reintroduced federal Hallways to Health Act. CASBHC will continue to advocate for SBHCs, but we can't do it alone. Your voices are needed now more than ever!
