Get Caught Reading!

“Catch” someone you know or let them “catch” you reading by snapping a picture and sending it to the library via email (romuluspubliclibrary@gmail.com), Facebook or bring in the photo (permission required, of course).

We have an “I Got Caught Reading” wall and your picture will be posted!

Animals and adults can be “caught” reading too!

Book BINGO

What will you read this month? Take a BINGO card and challenge yourself. The entire BINGO card must be filled out and cards are due by March 31st to be entered into our prize drawing. Winners will be announced the week of April 3. 

This program is for ages 0-11.
Registration is required - sign up at the front desk.

Crosswinds Marsh LIVE Animal Program
Jennifer Panek will read a story about the marshlands and she will have a few marshland friends with her.

The Storytellers
Join us for "Build a Better World with Music and Stories!" This is a fun, interactive program that combines stories, musical instruments, audience participation and hands-on fun!

The library, the Recreation Dept., and the Guidance Center are coming together to bring you a SPECIAL family reading event for March is Reading Month with games, snacks, prizes, and more! Go to the front desk, grab your passport, and let your journey begin. Complete your passport by visiting each station up in the library. Turn in your COMPLETED passport to the front desk for a change to win prizes.This program is FREE and for all ages. No registration required. 

Healthy Living Workshop
with Dr. Travis Dockery

Thursday, March 16, 6-7 p.m.

Dr. Travis Dockery graduated Cum Laude from Eastern Michigan University before continuing on to Logan College of Chiropractic. He will be leading a crash course in healthy eating habits, nutrition truth v. myth, exercises to improve health and minimize pain and how the body works. 



Adult Winter Reading Program

Warm up with good books this winter for your chance to win prizes during the Adult Reading Program! Pick up your reading log and bonus bingo game at the library anytime before it ends on March 18. 
English as a Second Language Conversation Group

Saturday, March 21, 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

Join other residents to practice your English in a comfortable, informal setting. This will be an ongoing program that will meet every fourth Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Find the monthly meeting dates under our Adult Programs section.

Now Accepting Debit and Credit Cards
The library is now accepting Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards for over-the-counter payments on fines, lost items, printing, fax service and other payments. There is a minimum $2.50 charge per transaction for this service.

Food for Fines March 20 - April 28, 2017
Bring in non-perishable food items and receive $1.00 off your fines on Romulus Public Library items for each item you donate. Food for Fines cannot be used on lost items or collection fees and we cannot accept items that are past the expiration date. Donations will be accepted for those without fines as well. Help alleviate hunger for children, seniors and families in our community.

News from the Director
Welcome new Library Board member, Candace Myshock! Candace is our new Huron Township representative and is already advocating for the library on social media and at township meetings.               

Thank you to all who came out to support the Friends of the Library at the 2nd Annual Bowling Fundraiser at Romulus Lanes. Congratulations to all the prize winners and special thanks to the Chamber for their support. All proceeds from the fundraiser support library programs and special library needs. 

Work continues on a new library website. You may have noticed that the old theme has been replaced by a new, faster theme. Watch for additional improvements coming soon.
