Institutional Racism: Call for Papers
The Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia invites area graduate students in Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatric Residencies, the humanities, ministries, journalism, and public health to submit an original paper which addresses institutional racism, barriers to inclusion of racial and ethnic minority students in mental health organizations, or aspects of unacknowledged racial biases that impact graduate and/or mental health education.
What have you experienced with institutional racism? Have you seen faculty and/or administration create barriers to integration or advocate for change and inclusion? How do you understand what you've observed? Can you generalize from your personal experience with racial issues to the social experience of your peers and or teachers?
Papers due June 1, 2017.
