Master's Table Soup Kitchen
Saturday, February 25, 8:15 AM - 10:30 PM
The Master's Table Soup Kitchen at 702 Fenwick Street will be staffed and sponsored by Saint Paul's Church volunteers Saturday, February 25. The Prep Team works from 8:15 - 10:30
AM. This is a great opportunity to get to know other parishioners while chopping, stirring, and preparing lunch.
Please note a change for this ministry
in 2017. Because this is an extremely gratifying experience, the Soup Kitchen has more servers than they need. Therefore, the Saint Paul's team will prepare lunch only, to give other groups an opportunity to serve. Since persons under age 18 are not allowed to work in the kitchen, this opportunity will now be limited to adults only.
Contact Marilyn Grau for more information or to volunteer.

ADULTS
Faith, Church, and the Episcopal Way: Adult Formation Offering
On Sunday, March 5, 9:30
AM, in the Berlin Room, we will begin an adult opportunity to explore our personal faith within the context of the Church and in what John Westerhoff calls the "peculiar way" of the Episcopal tradition. This class will help us more fully to understand our own faith as it intersects with the professed faith and traditions of the Episcopal Church. We will also explore the traditional Rite of Confirmation and its role in our lives and that of the Church. For those new to the Episcopal tradition and for those who have been a part for years, this class will help expand and deepen our connectedness. On June 25 our Bishop will be at Saint Paul's for his annual visit. At the 11
AM service that day the Bishop will offer the opportunity, to those who would like, to make or renew their adult profession of faith. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact Fr. Muir or Fr. Jenkins. We look forward to this opportunity to learn and grow together.
YOUTH
Youth Formation for the Sacramental Rite of Confirmation will begin Sunday, March 5. This is an exciting opportunity for young people that have completed the 9th grade to deepen their spiritual formation and further engage with the rich tradition of the Episcopal Church. The sessions led by Ranie Neislar, will be held in the Rector's Office from 9:30 to 10:30
AM. Bishop Benhase will visit the parish for confirmation on June 25.

LENTEN Discussions: Life Together Wednesday, March 8 - March 30
12:00 noon OR 7:00 PM
This Lenten season we invite all to read and reflect on Life Together, Dietrich Bonhoeffer's poignant text about the nature and practice of Christ-centered community. We offer two gatherings on Wednesdays in Lent, March 8 thru 30, in Tyler Hall: the first, noon to 1
PM, bring your own lunch; and the second, 7 to 8
PM. Prior to gathering, Noonday Prayer will be held in the chapel at 11:45
AM and Evening Prayer at 6:30
PM. A limited number of books will be available in the parish office; we recommend
purchasing the Life Together, Reader's Edition, but any copy will suffice. Please notify the parish administrator,
Elisabeth Price, of your intention to attend and how many seats and/or books you wish to reserve.

Recovery & Addiction: What Shall We Say?
WHEN: Sunday, March 12, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
WHERE:Berlin Room
WHO: See below
CONTACT: Rev. John Jenkins
Who is free from the effects of addiction-in your life, in the life of a parent or a child-youth or adult, in the life of our city, society, and country? The Church professes that when even one member suffers, then all members suffer (1 Cor
12:26) because through Baptism we are forever bound together by the Holy Spirit and made one people through participation in the risen life of Christ. The truth is that not one of us is free from the life diminishing and life threatening effects of ALL manner of addictions and addictive behaviors. We all pay a price, and we all are called by our care for one another to respond.
What shall we say and how shall we respond?
We begin at Saint Paul's Church by gathering for a conversation titled Recovery & Addiction: What Shall We Say? At this gathering
WE WILL talk about addiction and recovery-misconceptions, truths, and ways to respond for ourselves and to others;
WE WILL NOT lecture, misinform, pressure or embarrass any person in any way. Our conversation will be guided by the Revs. Kevin Kelly and Tommy Townsend, who both have lived through addiction and now lead Episcopal Recovery Ministries in the Diocese of Georgia in addition to their respective parish ministries.
In peace,
John+
