A Mission-Driven Church

Our Mission...
The Memorial Tabernacle Church has come together by the Holy Spirit for the specific purpose of preaching and teaching the word of God, (the Bible), and about Jesus Christ, God's son, and to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the North Oakland Community and its environs; to bring healing to the brokenhearted and deliverance to the oppressed.
Notes On Sunday's Sermon
"DOGGED DETERMINATION" ( Numbers 14:11-25

Earlier, the Israelites had made a golden calf and worshiped it. However, God did not say, "Because you've made the golden calf, I will not take you into the Promised Land." It was when they said, "We can't take the land" that God drew the line.

What angers God most is our failure to believe He will do what He said-when we despise His grace and word. That is what happened to Esau . He despised his birthright and sold it. He treated it with contempt. God said later, "Esau I have hated" (Rom. 9:13). God did not hate Esau because he was a sinner, but because he despised the offer of God's grace. When God has gone to infinite pains to make provision and we say we don't want it, we make Him very angry.

Jesus said, "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned" (Matt. 12:36, 37). I've heard people say many times, "Well, I know it was a foolish thing to say, but I really didn't mean it." Those are the kind of words that Jesus is talking about-idle words. Periodically, we should ask God to show us if we are still paying the penalty for things we have said about ourselves in the past. Humble yourself and say, "Lord, I'm sorry. I said a foolish thing. I said something I didn't mean. I repent. Forgive me and deliver me."

Outcomes of the February 19 All Church Planning Meeting
Next Steps for Memorial Tabernacle Church

Great meeting Sunday following worship, and thank you to all who participated.

Symbolism was made throughout our meeting to our community garden.
Seeds were planted in our community garden.

We stopped weeding. We stopped harvesting. We stopped tending its needs and nurturing it. The harvest came yet we did not tend to it.

The harvest of souls is coming. Just as the harvest came in our community and we neglected it, God will not give us souls to be neglected, overlooked, and ignored.

We all have the responsibility to tend to the needs of the souls God sends  to us for our covering.

We have a Memorial Tabernacle Community Garden just as we have a church that belongs to all of us.  It does not belong to one person or another.  This is ours.

Each of us see the needs, the challenges, the potential and respond with action. Let's not delegate, gossip, or turn a blind eye. We must respond in action.  Click here to access to the agenda and ministry survey. Print and complete.

As we prepare for the harvest, each must access where they have or have not participated; what God is saying to them through fasting and prayer; and where they will invest their 3 Ts - time, treasure, and talents.  ACTION is NOW.  God is blessing NOW.

Be inspired by this video. Despite your situation, our witness must reach those who need to know the Lord:
