Katie Camarca, Colorado Fenestra, Inc
If you are new to the Area & the Association and you do not speak Latin... you may be asking yourself; what is Colorado Fenestra? Now, if you've been around for a while you undoubtedly know that Colorado Fenestra is a complete window, door, and hardware company owned and run by Katie Camarca.
Katie grew up around the trades as her father owned a custom tile business for 35 years. She has been in the window and door industry since 1998 and started Colorado Fenestra from the ground up 11 years ago (February 2nd). Katie stated that her emphasis in opening her business was and continues to be; to offer services a cut above the standard, and to have a business that does not include a need to "duck and run". It is very important for her to keep her clients as friends. Colorado Fenestra offers a variety of products that exceed building codes and meet every type of design standard.
When asked about her relationship with the HBASC, Katie noted that she learned the importance of the Association throughout her career and became a member upon opening the door. "Contractors value the efforts of the HBA in the community" and she feels good about belonging to an organization that is invested in the community and makes a point to give back. As Katie's 2 sons are growing up (they were 6 months and 3 yrs when she opened her doors ~ wow), she has taken a bigger role with the HBA. Last year Katie participated in both the Chili Cook off Committee and the Parade Committee. This year, Katie has stepped up to Co-Chair of the 2017 Parade of Home Committee and I am sure we will see her involved with the Chili cook off again.
So what does this have to do with Latin you might ask....
Fenestra is the Latin word for window.
