Monastery, one home and one away, to edify your Lenten growth.

St. Martin's Weekend with the Monks: March 11-12

Find renewal in the soothing daily cycle of Benedictine prayer in the lovely chapel. Sit, read, rest, and reflect in the quiet spaces of the monastery. Schedule time with a brother of the order for spiritual direction. Did we mention that the food is fabulous? Scholarships are available, so please never let expense be a barrier! Email Rev. Kerbel at jkerbel@stmartinec.org. Carpools can also be arranged.
Lenten Daily Prayer
This year St. Martin-in-the-Fields is inviting everyone to participate in an all-parish Lenten daily praying of the Lord's Prayer at 12 noon. The Lord's Prayer is one we all know, but many of us don't think much about what we are saying when we say it every Sunday. Saying it every day will give us the opportunity to consider the power of this prayer. Knowing our fellow parishioners are praying with us, even if we are not together is a great unifier in these difficult times.

Reconciliation
During this penitential season, you may wish to meet with the clergy for reconciliation. If you wish to receive this, please contact one of the clergy.
Connect 8's
Beginning March 5
Introducing CONNECT 8's - regularly scheduled dinner groups of 8 people that rotate each time so you meet more and more members of St. Martin's. Dinner groups will be hosted in the homes of participants and will be easy to organize. Dinners will be scheduled the first Sunday of the month from March through May.
Help us meet our participation goal and make your 2017 pledge!
We consider our
participation goal  as equal in importance to our  financial goal .  We clearly asked every person who considers St. Martin's to be their church to make a pledge as an expectation of membership. 283 member households  responded affirmatively.  We need 17 more households to meet our participation goal of 300 pledging units.
