NEWS FLASH:  Brothers helping Brothers
greyscl-wheelchair-window.jpg
If you are a family member of a loved one living in a nursing home, know that leaving one's home of many years and moving into a nursing home is devastating, especially in one where they are not surrounded by friends or family.
More than likely, they are sharing a room with a stranger.
Loneliness is a constant battle.  You can help.
► We have several Brothers in nursing homes and one recently mentioned that durning the past couple of years, he was visited by a Brother Knights only three times.
► The Brothers listed under the "For The Good Of The Order" are all Brothers who would like to be visited once in a while.  Many were faithful Brothers who made our Council the Council it is.
At the meeting Thursday evening, Frank Guerra will be asking Brothers to step up and visit our Brothers in local nursing homes.

Knights Social Meeting - Thursday, March 9th - 7:00pm - Founders Hall
This Social is open to Knights, spouses and parishioners.  Amie Fraley, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity will be presenting a special informative program as to their goal.  It is to work together to build homes and help families succeed in their homeownership journey. They build so children have a secure place to study for school, and they build so hardworking parents can dream even bigger dreams. They build for those in our community who make it a great place to live, and they invite us as Christian s to join them! They are proud to serve as a leader in affordable housing and lending in the Sandhills, providing a hand up...not a handout. Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization, founded on Christian principles with a vision to provide safe, decent and affordable housing in the area.   Come out an spend an evening with the people of Habitat and parishioners.
Program starts at 7:00pm and refreshments will follow the social.
