Rector's Discretionary Account Your generous non-pledged offerings (cash and designated checks) on the first Sunday each month support our clergy's Discretionary Account. Frs. Muir and Jenkins use these funds to meet urgent needs within our community, to further the ministries of the church when other funds are not available, and to support community programs and institutions that serve those in need.

Evensong Reception March 5, Following the Concert, Tyler Hall
Anita Tanner is coordinating the Evensong Reception for March 5. We need refreshments for the reception that will follow the service. Our receptions are attended by the community and we are known for our hospitality. Many of you have been very gracious and contributed to make these receptions successful.
You may bring your contribution to church Sunday morning and leave it labeled with your name in the downstairs kitchen or you may bring it before attending the Evensong that afternoon. Please make arrangements to have your dish picked up after the reception. Thanks in advance!

EYC (Episcopal Youth Community grades 6-12)
Sunday, 5:00 - 6:30
PM
EYC will begin a monthly "God Talk". We will begin the evening with dinner at 5
PM at the church and, weather permitting, walk down to the amphitheater for 45 minutes of discussion on anything God-related. This new monthly EYC is an opportunity to ask any questions, name any frustrations, and discuss anything God-related. At the beginning of the discussion, various questions will be raised and then voted for discussion as a group. This is a fun, informal way to learn more about each other and God! We will finish up at 6:30
PM.
Email Ranie
with questions.

ALL are invited to reflect on this poignant classic work about the nature and practice of Christ-centered community, that is, "being the Body of Christ gathered, the church."
Read on your own and drop-in at any of the discussion gatherings throughout Lent. There is no expectation or commitment to return to specific gatherings. We offer three meeting times to support and accommodate your schedule and throughout Lent.

Invitation Made Easy!
Sunday, March 12, Following the 11 AM service, Tyler Hall
The most effective means of attracting newcomers to any church is a personal invitation from a parishioner. If this makes you nervous, know that survey after survey shows that three-quarters of people say they would go to a church if a friend, neighbor, or co-worker invites them. Please accept our invitation to lunch and a conversation about inviting others to Saint Paul's next Sunday, March 12, in Tyler Hall, following the 11
AM service.
RSVP to Elisabeth Price .

Recovery & Addiction: What Shall We Say?
WHEN: Sunday, March 12, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
WHERE: Berlin Room
WHO: See below
CONTACT: Rev. John Jenkins
Who is free from the effects of addiction-in your life, in the life of a parent or a child-youth or adult, in the life of our city, society, and country? The Church professes that when even one member suffers, then all members suffer (1 Cor
12:26) because through Baptism we are forever bound together by the Holy Spirit and made one people through participation in the risen life of Christ. The truth is that not one of us is free from the life diminishing and life threatening effects of ALL manner of addictions and addictive behaviors. We all pay a price, and we all are called by our care for one another to respond.
What shall we say and how shall we respond?
We begin at Saint Paul's Church by gathering for a conversation titled Recovery & Addiction: What Shall We Say? At this gathering
WE WILL talk about addiction and recovery-misconceptions, truths, and ways to respond for ourselves and to others;
WE WILL NOT lecture, misinform, pressure or embarrass any person in any way. Our conversation will be guided by the Revs. Kevin Kelly and Tommy Townsend, who both have lived through addiction and now lead Episcopal Recovery Ministries in the Diocese of Georgia in addition to their respective parish ministries.
In peace,
John+
