Highlights and Onward to 2017!

Dear Friends, 

Thanks to your support, 2016 was another great year for Second Chance Pets! Here is a glance at some of our highlights:

1. 305 lives saved!   (214 cats & 91 dogs)
2. 450 feral cats spayed or neutered! (including 200 fixed at our 2 Feral Cat Day events)
3. Over 10,000 hours of volunteer work!
4. More than 10 new animals rescued with special medical needs such as surgery, heartworm treatment and dental treatments.

SCP RECEIVES PETCO GRANT:

We would also like to thank the Petco Foundation for providing Second Chance Pets with much needed grant funds to aid us in accomplishing our mission!


2016 ANNUAL REPORT:

Below is a snapshot of our expenses and income and you can see that our biggest expense is vet bills at 50% of our budget and that adoption fees only account for 26% of our income.  This highlights why support and donations from our friends like you, local businesses and Petco are so important.  You can see our complete 2016 annual report by clicking  here.


NOW, ONWARD TO 2017!

2017 is off to a busy and great start for our furry friends by having approximately 65 pets available for adoption, intaking into our adoption program approximately 30 animals and completing 44 adoptions to date! We are very excited about some upcoming events that will assist us in our mission in 2017.

WHISKERS, WAGS & WINE UPCOMING FUNDRAISER: TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

You can help increase our impact in 2017 by supporting our annual fundraiser.  Come relax at Lakewood Yacht Club and enjoy a seated dinner, silent & live auction and wine pull! We would love to see you there! Tickets will not be available at the door so be sure to purchase your tickets this upcoming week. It's spring time so that means it is time to de-clutter your house and donate your unwanted items to our upcoming garage sale! Be sure to mark your calendar for the date!
