We start with a ballistic nylon envelope that fully supports the added weight of even a full frame 1911. Then tactical-sticky-stuff is added so the holster stays put. This way the gun never sags inside the jacket. Since it's an envelope of ballistic the gun also doesn't "print" or show on the outside either.
