Just a reminder, THIS SATURDAY 2/25 is our inaugural family fun faire fundraising event! Bring your families and enjoy a fun day in support of our Volunteer Center.

Purchase game tickets (10 for $5.00) and enjoy a variety of fun carnival games (Ages 3-12) including:

A ride down an inflatable bouncy slide
A bunny petting zoo
Cookie decorating
Decorative sand art
Face painting
A kid-driven storytime (Showtimes: 9:30, 10:30, and 11:20 AM)

All guests must register to attend. Food will be available for purchase from food trucks Atomic Cafe and Wafl Truck and from a Snack Station sponsored by Smart & Final.

As part of our Heart of Helping event, we are offering the opportunity to win FOUR Disneyland PARKHOPPER passes good through June 30, 2018.

We will be drawing one grand winner on Monday, February 27, so you don't need to attend the faire to win. Each opportunity ticket is $5.00. Tickets can be purchased online here, or at our Torrance office 1230 Cravens Ave. Mon - Fri from 9:00AM - 4:00PM.

...At the Heart of Serving Others

We have enjoyed a wonderful long standing partnership with one of our local Easterseals volunteer groups. Ms. Irma brings 3-4 volunteers by every Tuesday and helps support our Food for Kids program. Most weeks they help us put bilingual food nutrition flyers into the bags so that the families we serve can find ways to pick healthy foods on a tight budget.

This past week, the volunteers helped us finalize some of our Heart of Helping carnival games to get ready for Saturday. We are so grateful to some of our regular volunteers: Jessica Luhrs, Taketo Yoshida, Quanah Fields & Yong Kim - THANK YOU!

Many hands make light work! Lately, we have seen a surge in people interested in volunteering. Many of the people who contact us are passionate about giving back to their community and want to help causes they believe in. We want to connect your nonprofit with these wonderful volunteers!

At the end of last year, we launched our new online volunteer matching tool. Nonprofits can sign up to become a Partner ($45 a year), and list an unlimited amount of volunteer opportunities online.
