Sunday, February 26 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
 
Conditions have been perfect for maple sugaring!  The sap is flowing, syrup is being made...come over to the Arboretum this Sunday for our annual celebration of the season!  Enjoy a brisk winter afternoon learning the steps involved in turning tree sap into delicious maple syrup.  There will be tapping and cooking demonstrations, guided hikes, games and taste tests, all at this outdoor family-friendly festival!

Pre-registration is not required.  Free for Members; payment is taken at the gate for Non-Members.

Come see if this is true at the next Put the 'Pub' in Public Garden Wine Tasting on Friday, April 7, from 7:00 to 9:30 pm.  "Walk" with us through the hills of the French countryside while sampling wines from the lovely artisanal vineyard, Chateau Couchebout in Bordeaux.  Enjoy a selection of fine cheeses and authentic French charcuterie and bread that will flatter your taste buds.  Your Cook's Tour of France starts right here in Summit!

Director of Horticulture, Marc Montefusco, explores this and related questions in the upcoming edition of the Talking Garden series with "The Natives are Restless: Horticultural Forms of Native Plants".  This lecture is  an introduction to new and exciting forms of North American woody plants.  This presentation has been chosen as a panel presentation at the prestigious American Public Gardens Association conference in Hamilton, Ontario.
