REHOBOTH SHOWER
Sunday, March 19th

Please start gathering your donations for our annual "shower" for the Rehoboth family shelter in Norwell. We'll welcome staff members from the shelter at our 10:00 service that day and will present our gifts at coffee hour. Our refreshments that day will be hosted by Altrusa.

We generally give items for the kitchen, bedroom, and bath. Used items in good condition are welcome, except as noted below. Here's a list of the most-needed items.
  • Towels and washcloths (MOST needed item!)
  • Blankets, single bed size (NOT comforters or fleece throws)
  • Sheets, single bed size
  • Pillows (new only, NOT throw pillows)
  • Mops
  • Plastic storage tubs
  • Silverware
You can start leaving your donations on Sunday, March 5th. We'll have a table on the stage to collect them.
The Colors of Easter / Jelly Bean Prayer
A Family Lenten Activity

I came across this fun activity for families to do during Lent. It can be hard to "give up" something for 40 days, but this activity offers chances for good deeds, prayer, and family time. Click on the link below to learn more!

Community Contact

Do you get the Patriot Ledger each week? We are looking for 1 copy of the Patriot Ledger listing the real estate transactions. Tracey Sprows would like to continue reaching out to new members in our community with a warm welcome to join us here at St. Andrew's. If you can share your newspaper with Tracey, please send her an email at [email protected].
ONGOING WAYS YOU CAN BE A PART OF ST. ANDREWS:

Being a part of a Church Family means there is always room to be involved and lend a hand. Here are some ways you can lend your time or talent to St. Andrew's this fall:

ACOLYTES: Anyone in grade 2 and up (YES! this includes ADULTS!)  can  serve as an Acolyte. If you or your child would like to serve as an Acolyte, please contact Gary Innes to see what dates are available. Remember, children who serve as Acolytes also attend Church School, so they won't miss out on the fun!

ALTAR GUILD: The Altar Guild is actively looking for new members to join our ministry. Altar Guild is responsible for the care and setting of the altar each Sunday including all special services for holidays, weddings, baptisms and funerals. The Altar Guild operates with teams of four to five members who are on duty for a month several times throughout the year. During that month, it requires an individual time commitment of about 1-2 hours which includes setting up ahead of and cleaning up after services. New members work closely with experienced members until they are comfortable with the care of the altar on their own.  Please contact the office if you are interested in becoming a member.  We would love to have you join us!

COFFEE HOUR FELLOWSHIP:  A cookie, a cup of coffee, and a smile can go a long way!  The coffee will already be on, so the hard part is done! Grab a friend or two and help keep this special time of fellowship going.  If you are interested in hosting an upcoming Coffee Hour, please call or email Carole in the office for available dates.

LAY READERS / CHALICE BEARERS The role of the
Lay Ministry in our parish  life is to represent the lay fellowship of Christ during ou worship services... either reading Bible passages, leading prayers, distributing the wine, and occasionally acting as acolyte, when necessary. We'd love to have more people to read...you wouldn't need to act as Chalice Bearer or sit at the altar. We'd especially like more readers for the 8 o'clock service. Contact Karen Troupe if you're interested or have any questions at:  [email protected] .
