Eight local teams head to state decathlon

South Pasadena H.S. has won the 2017 L.A. County Academic Decathlon for the third year in a row. The team moves on to the state competition March 23-26, and will be joined by seven other local squads that scored high enough to be "wild-card" entrants.

Report highlights 'LA Model'

LACOE is proud to be the education partner in an exciting new approach to serving incarcerated youth. It will be piloted this spring at a new facility located on the site of the former Camp Kilpatrick in Malibu. A recently released report, "A Culture of Care for All: Envisioning the LA Model," describes the therapeutic, holistic approach.
