"If light is in your heart, you will find your way home."
--Rumi
This morning I was reading
A Year Without Fear by Tama Kieves. Today's contemplation involved the realization that we are taught we think we have to have the answers to be at peace. This is backwards. Peace brings us answers.
I know this is true to the depth of my being. When I do what I need to do to maintain my peace, answers flow easily -- and they are the
right answers, rather than the answers my ego wants to find.
We develop and maintain peace by taking time in silence -- just a few minutes a day -- to breathe and connect with the present moment, to open to that wellspring of Life and Love within us, to just BE. We develop and maintain peace by taking time to do this every day.
When we adhere "religiously" to this practice, we have an inner treasure trove of wisdom and intelligence, and the answers just rise up.
Today I wish for you the willingness to take a few minutes in silence each day, to just be all that you are -- amazing, wonderful, brilliant -- rather than searching and striving for answers.
With great love,
Rev. CC
