Grace and peace in our Lord Jesus Christ!
As I write this, I sit in the place where my life and faith journey began. I am here to celebrate the life of a dear family member whose journey on this earth has come to a close and the journey of eternity in Christ's presence has begun. It's been a bit humbling to be in the cemetery of my home church, choosing a space for Gary but also realizing the need to have a spot designated for myself when that time comes in my life. Needless to say, it has called for reflection upon my own life journey and the path God has placed before me.
As I reflect on my life while walking the grounds to the spring at Caswell Springs UMC, it brings to mind the many experiences and people who have been an important part of my life's journey and answering God's call. Even as I reflect and grow a little nostalgic, there is also a clear sense of the pathway that began in this place but continues to call me forward to the place Christ leads me to be. God's call on my life seems to be new every day and his grace continues to shape me and lead me forward
The season of Lent is upon us and offers us the challenge to examine our own journey. It is a wonderful time to recall those who have shaped our faith journey and yet to also seek the pathway that He has laid before us. It is an opportunity to again affirm that God's call for us is new everyday as He leads us o the path to eternal life with Christ.
May you be called to a holy lent as we journey together down the Pathway Christ leads us on!
Blessings!
Your servant in Christ!
Chris
