OVV in local Film Festival

In 2012, Cincinnati, Ohio was the first city to follow in New York City's footsteps by hosting a ReelAbilities Film Festival.  The ReelAbilities NY Disabilities Film Festival was initiated at the JCC in Manhattan, in 2007. The festival was the first of its kind to present award- winning films by and about people with disabilities. Screenings took place at multiple venues throughout the city and they were followed by discussions that brought together the community to explore, discuss, embrace, and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience.

Come see a film about an OVV alum, Liesl McGrath, in A Prism of Difference by Purdy Productions.  The film will be shown on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Duke Energy Center at 11am. Tickets are $11 a person , click here to purchase.
2017 Flying Pig Marathon
Are you and your pals ready to get moving to support the children of Ohio Valley Voices?  Anyone can walk or run in the variety of Flying Pig races; you can even bring your dog to the Flying Fur race!

Each runner is asked to pledge/raise a minimum of $100 or a minimum of $500  for relay teams. We challenge each runner and team to go above and beyond the minimum pledge, as each penny goes directly back to helping the children and programs at Ohio Valley Voices.

Student Spotlight
Meet Mila!

Mila is 2 1/2 years old and in Ohio Valley Voices Toddler Program. When Mila was just an infant, they enrolled in the Parent-Infant Program and at 18 months old,she began attending Ohio Valley Voices half-day Toddler Program.  Next year, Mila will transition to a traditional preschool program with her same age hearing peers!

Mila's parents, Will and Nina, said, "We believe that the language skills Mila has acquired would not have been possible without the positive and caring environment provided by her teachers and caregivers at Ohio Valley Voices.   It is obvious that they love what they do, and we are indebted to them.  Because of their hard work, day-in and day-out, Mila will have life-long access to the same opportunities that children without hearing impairments experience.  We feel so lucky to live in a community with multiple programs aimed at combating hearing loss."
