Greetings Parents/Guardians,
I just wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the discussion from the Parent/Administration Meeting last night. It will be impossible for me to address every aspect of the meeting; therefore, this letter is to address the major points of discussion. Thank you: I first want to thank you, the parents/guardians, for the opportunity to invest in the lives of your children. We appreciate your willingness to let us partner with you to influence and lead these students. I also want to thank you for your openness and cooperation with some of the changes that were implemented this year.

Walk-A-Thon: Yesterday, we had our annual Walk-A-Thon kick-off chapel. Our goal for the 2016/2017 school year is $50,000. In order to make the Walk-A-Thon successful this year, we need your assistance. We need parents/guardians who can speak to local businesses about donating prizes or gift cards for the drawing. We also discussed in the meeting the purpose of the annual Walk-A-Thon and what the funds are designated for.

Upcoming School Year Changes & Additions:
a) Fees: Fees for next year are remaining the same, except for the Registration Fee. The Registration Fee went up $10.00. This small, one time increase was to help cover the cost of transitioning LWCS to online services.
b) Student/Parent Portals: Students and Parents will have their own unique account and access to their grades/homework/schedule. This will allow you to stay up to date on your child's grades, upcoming assignments, missed assignments and the school calendar.
c) Online Payments: Starting in August, parents will be able to pay Tuition online using electronic checks, debit or credit cards. You are not obligated to pay online. We just wanted to make this option available to you.

New Student/Parent Handbook: For the 2017/2018 School year we are implementing a new student/parent handbook. The new handbook is available in the business office. It will also be available electronically online. Please take the time to read and review it. If you have any questions concerning the student/parent handbook, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am available to answer any questions you may have.
I want to thank all of the families that attended last night. I truly value the insight and opinions that you have to offer when it comes to the growth and development of Living Water Christian School. It has always been my heart, and will continue to be a part of our DNA, to partner with you, the parent/guardian, to effectively influence and impact the lives of the students that attend Living Water.
