Exciting News with Alive and Well STL!

This month, the Commissioners voted to transfer the assets of Alive and Well STL to a new entity to be created by the end of the year. The RHC takes this action with great excitement, knowing that the work to advance trauma-informed communities has grown significantly over the past several years through our work together. Some key items to know:
  1. The RHC remains committed to the work of building a trauma-informed St. Louis, and will continue to partner with the new entity in the years to come.
  2. This decision is a reflection of the demand for this work across our community, across Missouri, and across our nation - at this point, we are receiving requests for trauma-informed assistance that far exceed the scope of the RHC, and we are excited that the work to will continue to thrive and grow in a way that is not possible within the RHC long-term.
  3. The RHC will remain focused on working with our partners to improve access to care & reduce health disparities in St. Louis City and County, and will be engaging with our community members to look for new ways we can make a difference in the health of our community in the months to come.
  4. The Alive and Well STL team has launched a detailed planning phase for its next steps, and welcome your input and feedback as the process unfolds.
As part of this decision, we are pleased to announce that Jennifer Brinkman n , RHC's Chief of Staff since October 2010, has agreed to serve as the first President of Alive and Well STL. Jennifer has made innumerable contributions to our region during her tenure at the RHC, including leading all efforts to build Alive and Well STL to date. We will miss Jennifer at the RHC, but are happy for her and the opportunity to continue to build Alive and Well STL into a national presence on a full-time basis. She will serve as a technical consultant to the RHC's Gateway program in addition to her role with Alive and Well STL to ensure a smooth transition through the end of the year.
