ily members to join in the celebration, so our 2017 regional volunteer events will be complimentary (FREE for all). We will have an RSVP process as we near the event. Dates are as follows: Central Region on April 23 (afternoon) at Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe, KS; East Region on April 27 (evening) at Lee's Summit Christian Church in Lee's Summit, MO; West Region on June 4 (afternoon) at Washburn Institute of Technology in Topeka, KS and North Region on June 11 (afternoon) at Wyatt Park Christian Church in St. Joseph, MO. We can't wait to celebrate our awesome volunteers!! Learn more and see the region you are a part of.

Inspire a Girl
Both opportunities have their own unique patch that connect together!
During March, log any community service hours completed by individual Girl Scouts or as a troop. Every Girl Scout who participates will receive a free patch!
Then make plans to join us at the G.I.R.L. Expo & Honors Ceremony on April 11 and celebrate the Girl Scout Highest Awards and honor our 2017 Gold Award Girl Scouts! We promise a day of skill-building, celebration and most importantly inspiration! Tickets are just $10 for Girl Scouts, Troop Leaders, Caregivers and chaperones!

Day at the Capitol - Topeka, KS
RSVP for Girl Scout Day at the Kansas State Capitol on Saturday, Mar. 18! This event is a free, skill-building event where Girl Scouts will earn steps toward their Citizen's badge and, they can meet & greet with community partners and receive a patch and bag.

Girl Scout Week (Mar. 12 -18) is a time to celebrate our incredible organization with your GS sisters, families, alumnae and the community! Embrace your spiritual connections, wear your Girl Scout pride, show the communities across our 47 counties what a force we are and share with others.

Knob Noster State Park Overnight & Hiking Excursion
Do you have Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors who love the outdoors?! We're hosting an overnight camping and hiking excursion at Knob Noster State Park Apr. 29 - 30! Girl Scouts will hike during the day, complete a service project for the park and do all the quintessential camping activities in the evening!

Canoe + Kayak
Join our professionally trained staff on Lake Odonata at Camp Daisy Hindman this spring and learn to canoe or kayak! This two-hour program will be tailored based on participants levels and experience each session so every Girl Scout will have an experience best suited for her! There are only a handful sessions this spring (Apr. 8, 29 & May 13),
so register early!

Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey
The Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey Dance Group invite Girl Scouts of all levels, friends and family to a soul-stirring performance at Yardley Hall, Johnson County Community College on March 4 at 2:00pm! Girl Scouts will receive a KCFAA patch and can purchase tickets for only $15.

Kansas State Society of Women Engineers
Calling all Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors! Join female engineering professionals for a fun day of hands-on activities for elementary aged Girl Scouts and a special info sessions for caretakers and troop leaders on how to encourage their girl to foster her engineering curiosity led by the Kansas State Society of Women Engineers on April 15!

Overland Park Orchestra
The Overland Park Orchestra invites Girl Scouts of all levels, friends and family to their free community concerts this spring at Tomahawk Ridge Community Center. The first one is Feb. 26 at 4:30 and the repertoire includes pieces by Mozart, Rossini and Sielius. Their second performance will be on May 7 at 4:30 pm and will include pieces by Brahms and a student soloist!
