Comings and Goings
In addition to Voices From The Wheelhouse, we have several other new programs on the air and in the works. Gene Petraglia has been presenting the
Cape Cod Sporting Life, and there are plans afoot for a talk show about about living a life in harmony based on Ayurvedic principles. Proposals for new shows are always welcome. Contact
Matty in the office.
This Sunday February 5 marks the swan song for Mort Inger's Story program. Mort has been with us for many, many years and we'll particularly miss his live drop-ins on Char's show when he came in to record his own. Be sure to say hello if you see him at the Wellfleet library.
Snowbird season always brings a flurry of guest hosts to our airwaves. Carol is on leave from the Roots n' Offshoots show, so you'll hear from Justine, Steve S., John W., and Gary over the next month of Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:30pm until Carol returns on March 7. Pandora will be holding down the fort for the Squid Jigger as he's away on the mornings of February 8 and 15 from 6-9am.
We welcome Yankee Dave back to the airwaves on the 15th of this month from 1-4pm. Dave's Miles To Go program ran on Wednesday nights for many years before it's final episode last year. James Paul Ludwig returns to the airwaves with his Radio Insurrection this Friday night Feb. 3 after being away for a number of months. The show can be heard on alternate Fridays from 7-9pm
Outer Cape Teens Sam and Becca will alternate shifts on Saturdays from 10am to 12:30 for the first 3 weeks of February until Racine & Will take over on the 25th for their annual Oscar preview show. New DJ Kat Williams takes the microphone for the first time this Sunday the 5th from 9-11pm with a Beatles-centric program and David Cox will end his run of Saturday night shows with the program on the 11th at 9pm. David will continue to host one Sunday night a month from 9-12. New DJ Ben has already guest-hosted a few shows, and you can hear him again from 9:30-12:30 on the 16th of February. The T-Bird will likely return to do his blues show in that slot on the 23rd.
With a little bit of luck, Bernie Hutchens will be able to return to his Tuesday evening show within the next few weeks. It may take a little longer, but we also hope to get Steve Morgan back on the Blues Cruise just as soon as possible.
There's almost always something unexpected on Outermost Radio, and that's even more true in the first few months of the year.
