FEBRUARY 2017
POULTRY CHAIN ORDERS ARE DUE

Poultry Chain orders are due by February 24th.  This year we are able to stay with the brown egg layer, Hyline Brown. These are large bodied, docile birds and are fantastic egg producers.

Each project order will receive up to 20 birds.  The Clark County 4-H Foundation will pay for each 4-H member's chickens with the understanding that the 4-H member will bring a pen of 4 uniformly-sized chickens to exhibit at the County Fair in September.

The Poultry Chain chickens exhibited at the fair will be auctioned off at the end of the week to raise money to purchase next year's chickens.  The 4-H member can keep their remaining chickens or sell them.

Call the Extension Service office at 246-2281 or email Cindy at [email protected] to order.
