Planning for the Future

Goal setting is an important component of success, regardless of what field you work in or how old you are.  As Earl Nightengale said, "People with goals succeed because they know where they are going."

The Tiger (PMS)
Parent Coffee Hour

February 8, 2017
9-10 a.m.
Pleasantdale Middle School Library

If you are interested in social and emotional skills and how they can be taught and developed in our children come have coffee and talk with other parents and Carrie Castaldo, Pleasantdale Middle School Social Worker.

All parents want to raise a kind and compassionate child that has the skills necessary to be successful now and in the future. But how do we do this? Parenting an adolescent can be challenging especially in today's day and age. Children are bombarded with information and have many choices to make daily that can have short and/or long term effects they may not yet understand. Middle school can be a challenging time for most students (and parents!). They are going through a lot of changes physically and emotionally. Even though we want them to become more independent, this can be scary as a parent. Middle school students still need your help and guidance although they might not think or act like they do.

Please RSVP by February 6, 2017.
