Commencement

Ceremony times for the April 29 commencement ceremonies have been set. Four ceremonies will be held in Miller auditorium as follows:

9 a.m.  College of Aviation 
            Haworth College of Business

12:30 p.m. College of Engineering and Applied Sciences 
                  College of Health and Human Services

4 p.m.  College of Education and Human Development 
            College of Fine Arts 
            Extended University Programs

7:30 p.m. College of Arts and Sciences

Graduating students can reserve four guest tickets in GoWMU through Thursday, April 13. Additional information can be found on the
commencement website

Celebrate your new graduate with a commencement program tribute and an inscribed brick at the Alumni Center. Order by March 30.

Financial Reminders

All students should complete the 2017-18 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). There is no cutoff deadline but some funds are awarded until they are gone, so apply by the March 1 priority deadline.


Students, parents, and borrowers are required to use an FSA ID, made up of a username and password, to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents.

Your student's 1098-T documents are available at   1098-t.com.  
Incoming New Student and Family Reminders 
  • Send in the $100 Admissions deposit to confirm acceptance to WMU.
  • Sign up for housing.
  • Sign up for new student orientation (and make sure you are signed up to attend parent/family orientation).
  • Continue the search for scholarships.
  • Make plans to have final high school transcripts sent to WMU.
