KCCD CELEBRATES ITS SEVENTEENTH  GRADUATING COMPUTER CLASS FROM THE 1736 FAMILY CRISIS CENTER
On February 7th 2017, Korean Churches for Community Development (KCCD) in partnership with the 1736 Family Crisis Center celebrated its 17th Graduating Class part of the Technology Empowerment Computer Class Course.
Frank Galvan
Class Instructor, KCCD/1736 Family Crisis Center
"Wow another graduation! This is our first graduation on 2017. Congratulations to all our students that completed the course. With every class, it's a unique and a refreshing digital experience for everyone as it is for me. It's very rewarding to see how much everyone learns and how quickly they advance. I'm impressed with our students' hard work and dedication."

Karla Hernandez
Assistant Program Coordinator, 1736 Family Crisis Center
"One of the many benefits now that everyone completed the course is that you can use your acquired skills to enhance your job or aid your job search. We have had students use what they learn to make flyers, create publications and promote their home businesses. I congratulate everyone for taking this step forward in their education."
Student Testimonials
Students shared testimonies and made PowerPoint presentations to display their accomplishments and newly acquired skills. These skills included applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Google Office Apps, as well as information on websites that provide resources in identifying drug use, college funding, and avoiding predatory attacks on social media and the Internet.

"Although I have used a computer before, never like this! It's amazing how much you can do with a computer and the Internet. I learned how to find online resources for higher education for my children and for me as an adult. I also learn more about online safety when it comes to protecting our information and protecting our young ones while they use the Internet. Plus the class was fun and I feel that that helped us learn faster because we enjoy the unique assignments."
Maribel Gonzalez
"My goal is to learn more about the computer world, although I feel I know the minimum, I want more! I loved the fact that I was able to find resource for me to return to school. My kids are still to young now, but now I know that when the time comes I will be ready to help guide them to the University or higher education. Also I like the topic of online safety. I have a 3 year old little girl who constantly uses youtube to watch cartoons. She's getting smarter everyday and I know one day she will run into the danger or online strangers. I'm glad that this class can guide us so that we may educate our children on how to be safe online."
Special Thanks
KCCD would like to thank CA Assemblymember Miguel Santiago for providing certificates that were given to the graduates. Special thanks to all our partners including 1736 Family Crisis Center and the City of Los Angeles for making the Technology Empowerment Computer Classes possible.
Congratulations to all the Graduates!
