The Men they call Knights
The Fr. John H Endejan Council 16171 members here at St. Matthias are looking for the next generation of men who want to put their faith into action and grow in their faith. Knights of Columbus councils are looked at as being Father's "Right Hand Men" and we are asking for men who want to make a difference in the St. Matthias community  to join.  If you are interested in joining or you have questions about the Knights of Columbus, we meet on the third Tuesday of the month in Steiger Hall Rm 7 at 7pm or please contact Matt Haugen by email at [email protected]

Why do Catholics...

Why do Priests kiss the Altar at Mass?

It is clear that from the earliest times a kiss was not only a token of love, but also under certain circumstances a symbol of profound respect.

Matthew 5:14-16

You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.

The Communications Committee is looking for working members.  This is an active ministry that works with our web site, Facebook page and E-Newsletter.  The committee meets in the parish office conference room the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM we are usually finished by 8:30 PM.  You don't have to be a techno wiz; if you love to write and report on parish activities we welcome you.  We need you to help bring the story of St. Mathias Parish forward.  If you are interested, please call the parish office (414) 321-0893 or e-mail.
