State Senators Sarlo and Oroho:
N.J.'s Estate Tax Repeal Must be Protected
The recently adopted phase-out the New Jersey's estate tax will have to be vigorously defended by supporters, as it is slated to be phased out over the next two budget years, said Democratic Sen. Paul Sarlo and Republican Sen. Steve Oroho during a Jan. 24 luncheon in East Windsor hosted by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
  
The message was clear: Future lawmakers will be tempted to reverse it.

Celebrating 50 Years!
Atlantic Cape Community College Cafe Series
As part of a series of events celebrating its 50th Anniversary, Atlantic Cape Community College will host a singer-songwriter event at the Cape May County Campus featuring musician Patty Blee, Thursday, Feb. 16, 6:30pm.
 
This Atlantic County singer-songwriter is a Café Series favorite who presents a mix of her own work and classics from some of then a tion's top musicians. Her husky voice, confessional songs and rootsy sound have earned her comparisons to artists such as Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt and Lucinda Williams. Displaying a distinctive guitar style full of bass lines and grooves, Blee intertwines memorable melodies into mid and up tempo songs of love and longing. A wide range of influences are evident in her musical palette-- blues, folk, Celtic, country, and rock.
 
The evening begins with buffet-style dinner, followed by a 45-minute performance at the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House. Blee will sell and sign her works directly following the show. Tickets are $35 and reservations are required. For reservations, call (609) 343-4907 or email [email protected].
