Bobby's Thoughts

My mom's lesson last week about cotton ball and sandpaper words made me think more before I "barked" at my friends.  I realized that my words, whether they are good or bad, do make a difference.  I also know that once my words are spoken, they can't be taken back...even if I say "I'm sorry".  Our character trait RESPECT goes right along with this lesson.

I can show respect to my teachers by raising my paw before I speak, not interrupting her when she is speaking to our class or even another teacher. I can also show respect in the cafeteria by picking up any food or trash that I might drop.  I also can show respect by saying "hi" to others that I meet in the hallway.  At home I can help keep my toys  in my room and not everywhere where mom might step on them.  Hmm... maybe I need to pick up my bones too?

I've always told my mom, "Our bark is worse than our bite."
