Your Cooperative Program Giving
Included in this article is a 2016 report on church Cooperative Program giving for the Dakota and a detailed reported regarding what our churches gave to Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong and Baker State Missions.  Thank you for giving to help make kingdom work possible in the Dakotas, North America and around the world.  Your Cooperative Program gifts underwrites state staff salaries, leadership development, church health projects and other special Dakota Baptist projects across our two states.  This year 24 1/2% of all Cooperative Program gifts will be sent on for world-wide causes.  Your special offerings for Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong goes to missions around the world and the North America 100%.  Your Baker Mission Offering is used in the Dakotas to assist churches in emergencies and crises, to assist pastors and family in emergencies, to fund a summer intern program and collegiate ministry.  Your generous giving fuels mission all over the world.  Look at the report, find your church and see how you have had a part in helping the Good News spread across our globe.

One more thing.  Notice that our churches gave a total of $368,537.13 to the Cooperative Program.  That is a $49,000 increase over last year's gifts and a $43,000 increase over our budget for 2016.  This is the most the Dakota Baptist Convention has received in Cooperative Program giving in its history.  Thank you for your faithfulness in giving.

Uruguay Mission Trip

In 2008, the Dakota Baptist Convention established a mission partnership with a church-planting effort started by IMB missionaries and local church planters in Uruguay. Together we envisioned a network of simple churches, called Comunidad Cristiana, stretching from the capital city of Montevideo to Punta Del Este.  About two thirds of Uruguay's population lives in this coastal region.  Since the inception of the Comunidad Cristianavision, 10 simple churches have been established. In previous years of our partnership we have concentrated our efforts, working with church planters in Piriapolis and Pan de Azucar, two small communities in the center of this region.  In 2016, our partnership expanded to helping with church planting in some communities around San Carlos and Maldonado, Uruguay.

For our June 25 - July 3, 2017 trip, we have been asked to help with church planting in 6 or 7 communities, including a new town in the interior of Uruguay!  This new role will expand our opportunity to encourage and support the spread of the gospel in the population center of Uruguay.  Every DBC church has the opportunity to be a part of this gospel work.
All the groundwork has been done.  All you need do is join the team.  Ask the Lord to make it possible for you, then trust him and apply!
