Executive Director Corner

Last month, I had the privilege of attending my first APMSA Mid-Winter Orientation and House of Delegates Meeting in Franklin, TN. I enjoyed meeting all the Delegates and appreciated the warm welcome I received. It was fascinating to see the House in action, discussing and addressing issues of importance to podiatric medical students. Each of you should be proud of the Delegates elected to represent you.

As a professional membership organization, it is critical that the APMSA create and deliver value to our members and Partners. Delivering value will be a focus of my tenure as Executive Director. One of the biggest complaints I am hearing is about the usability of and content on the APMSA website. The website is the face of our organization and the first place members and supporters look for important information about the APMSA.

One of my first priorities is to work with the Public Relations and Website Committee to implement a complete redesign of the APMSA website. This will include adding an online registration system and database. We will develop a plan to ensure website content is dynamic and features fresh material on a regular basis. We will look for opportunities to increase our social media presence and promote the APMSA website. My goal is to have a newly designed website launched no later than December 2017.

I am honored to be the new APMSA Executive Director and thrilled about the opportunity to work with each of you. I look forward to sharing more information about my vision in future editions of the APMSA e-News.

The APMSA gratefully acknowledges our following Partner’s for their generous support of the APMSA and student program and services.
