The Heart of Italy: A Tuscan Dinner Delight with Chef Deja Hart

The rolling hills of Tuscany and the romance of Italian cuisine come to life in this lively hands-on cooking class taught by Chef Deja Marrone Hart. Cooking and baking with her Italian family growing up, her
classic culinary training and traveling to Italy with her husband who is also a well known Chef, have inspired tonight's amorous menu. In class we'll learn to make
Ribollita, a Tuscan soup thickened with bread, Chicken Involtini with Prosciutto & Parmesan, a classic preparation perfect for company, and Torrone Semifreddo, an Italian nougat made with honey, egg whites, sugar and nuts folded into a frozen whipped cream and honey mixture - now, that's Amore! We'll taste Italian wine to compliment the menu.

NOLA Cuisines - Exploring Cajun & Creole with Chef Miles Chandler

Put a little spice in your Valentine's Day in this hands-on cooking class taught by Chef Miles Chandler, a connoisseur of NOLA cuisines & former catering Chef. Chef Miles will share his best time honed recipes and culinary knowledge of Creole & Cajun cooking. Menu: NOLA-Style Shrimp & Crab Stew, Butter Pecan topped Crispy Pan Seared Fish with Meuniere Sauce & Bananas Foster drizzled with Deep Dark Chocolate Sauce. Tons of flavor layers, but never too spicy hot to the taste. Unless you want it to be! Then Chef Miles is happy to bump up the heat accordingly.
We'll taste wines to compliment the menu.

Homemade Pasta, Sauce & Pesto 101 with Mary Weaver

There's nothing better than homemade pasta and a delicious, easy to make red sauce and seasonal pesto to nosh on after skiing, skating or just to enjoy in front of the fireplace. A great couple's project or dinner party theme, it's more fun to make homemade pasta together. Once you've tasted pasta from scratch and see how easy it is to make, it will be hard to go back to the box. In this hands on class, Mary Weaver, owner of Newport Cooks will teach us to make Fettuccine, Farfalle and Ravioli. In addition we'll whip up a flavorful red sauce and homemade pesto using seasonal fresh greens and herbs. We'll taste everything we make and taste wines to compliment the menu.

The Art of High Tea with Chef Sharyn Singer

Special occasions call for something out of the ordinary and nothing offers more opportunity for elegance than high tea. China cups, candles, music and delicious food. In this hands-on and demonstration style class, we'll touch on traditional fare with a touch of modern culinary flare! Our High Tea Menu: Scones with strawberry jam and homemade clotted cream, assorted tea sandwiches - grape, pecan chicken salad, citrus cured salmon with cucumber dill and egg with watercress, Welsh Rarebit and sweets - shortbread, macaroons and of course, a proper pot of tea.

Chef Deja Hart, a master of Thai cuisine, will share her vast knowledge of flavor profiles and techniques in this hands on cooking class.
Our Menu: Thai Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, Massaman Curry and Banana-Coconut Custard. These are just a few of Chef Deja's favorite menu items from Chakra, the Manhattan Beach, CA Thai Restaurant where she was Executive Chef. Come to learn something new and enjoy a delicious winter warmer meal. We'll also taste wine & beer to compliment the menu.
