The Sky's the Limit: Make the Most of Your Media Opportunities

Display Week is in Los Angeles this year, so we're thinking extra big in terms of publicity. Each year, SID's Display Week attracts the attention of media from around the world, and promotional efforts surrounding Display Week 2017 are now underway. As part of the value-added services SID offers exclusively to exhibitors, the society's media team is helping you get the word out about your company and the products you'll be showcasing, through the following:

Share the News: SID's public relations team will send out periodic reminders, updates, and exhibitor call-to-actions to help bolster media interest in your company and increase attendance at Display Week at large. They ask for your cooperation in sharing any hard-hitting news from your end that they can use in their ongoing pitching efforts, press releases, media alerts, etc. to drive pre-conference news coverage, live articles from Display Week, and post-event stories. Please send an email to [email protected] so that they have your most current contact information in order to provide you with regular updates on any media-related opportunities.

Registered Press List: A preliminary 2017 registered press list should be available in March 2017 and will be updated on a regular basis thereafter. Contact [email protected]

Virtual Press Office: SID will once again offer the opportunity for exhibitors to post their own press releases to the Display Week website through Virtual Press Office (VPO). More information about this service will be available on the Display Week website later this month.

New Events for Display Week 2017

The Society for Information Display has added two new events to the 2017 show lineup. Both are designed to enhance the show experience and attract an ever-expanding range of attendees.

Please join us for:

The Women in Tech Forum, Wednesday, May 24. This new event will feature a diverse group of female tech experts who will participate in an energetic discussion around their unique insights and experiences in the industry. The Forum will be moderated by Rashmi Rao, Senior Director, Advanced Engineering, for Harman.

The 30th Anniversary OLED Event, Tuesday, May 23. SID is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the "first-ever" OLED technical presentation by Ching Tang and Steve Van Slyke. Public lectures, special presentations, and more are scheduled.

And, back by popular demand:

  • The CMO Forum, a unique event tailored to benefit marketing, sales, and supply chain professionals.
  • The New Product Showcase, where all show attendees and members of the press can preview the latest and most innovative products and services from more than 200 exhibitors at Display Week.

For more about what's new and exciting at Display Week, including a special preview of featured technologies such as AR/VR and automotive displays, check out this video from SID's HEAD of Marketing, Sri Peruvemba.

For all your operational, logistical questions, email Mark at [email protected].

Reserve Housing Now

Visit the Display Week housing page now to get the best selection on rooms at the show. Please be aware that Par Avion is the only official housing bureau for Display Week 2017. Reservations made through any other housing services company will not be guaranteed by SID and could result in hidden charges, unusual restrictions, loss of deposits, fraud, or incorrect hotel placement for Display Week attendees.

Exhibitors' Forum Deadline is March 24

The Display Week 2017 Exhibition will once again include an exhibitors' forum, with scheduled presentations by Display Week 2017 exhibitors. This forum provides exhibitors with greater exposure to attendees who are interested in learning more about a company's products and services in a presentation setting.

These 15-minute presentations (including Q&A) are designed by exhibitors, though we suggest that you include the technical content that attendees come to Display Week to discover. The deadline for this opportunity, which comes at no additional charge to exhibitors, is March 24, 2017. For information about submitting your forum materials, visit the Exhibitors' Forum page.

Other Important Deadlines

Best in Show nominations are due by May 1, 2017

Products on Display are due by March 27, 2017.
