Over the next few months we'll be introducing our new Zone 9 Committee Members! They are already working hard for the zone. Take a minute to get to know them, and stay tuned for more introductions!
Jessie Lang, Member
Jessie, of Jackson, Wyoming, has been involved in the sport for nearly 40 years as a rider and trainer, and she has experience in fox hunting, breeding, farm management, sales, judging and showing. As a committee member, she is interested in sport growth and inspiring new members within the zone and in other zones. In her spare time, she enjoys whitewater kayaking, cooking, hiking and skiing. If she could have dinner with any equestrian, she would choose Vladimir Littauer.
Katherine Wade-Easley, Member
Katherine, of Woodinville, Washington, has had a passion for horses since she rode ponies at the zoo when she was 2 years old. She is the owner and head trainer of Sundance Equestrian in Washington. As a committee member, she wants to help continue to educate the membership while promoting the USHJA mission. When she has spare time she enjoys running, hiking, ice skating and surfing.
If she could have dinner with any equestrian, she would choose George Morris to have his undivided attention to ask questions.
Mary von Zimmermann, Member
Mary of Renton, Washington, has been involved with horses her entire life. She has been a trainer for 20 years and is currently a starter at horse shows around the Northwest. As a USHJA committee member, she wants to help the zone become more aware of the grassroots programs. Outside of horses, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and friends. She would have dinner with William Steinkraus if she could have dinner with any equestrian.
