Spring 2017 Housing Forecast Loudoun County
With 1063 active listings in December and 548 closings, inventory dropped to 1.9 months supply. This reflects the slow seasonal adjustment as homes that did not sell went off the market and will probably relist again in the Spring. Mortgage rates moved upward to 4.5%. With inventory so low the market is favoring sellers. Spring real estate market comes early in Loudoun County so now would be a good time to get on the market with less competition. Expect inventory to grow as the Spring market approaches.
