Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas Honors KinderCare Leanring Center In Allen, Texas As Child Care Provider of the Year
ARLINGTON, Texas - Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas held an awards celebration on Wednesday, January 25th at the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prarie, Texas. The Awards of Excellence is an opportunity to recognize and reward the hard work of the Board, workforce center staff, their customers, and business partners throughout the 14-county area the board serves.

KinderCare Learning Center in Allen, Texas recieved Child Care Provider of the Year for successfully achieving a Texas Rising Star 4-star status.  KinderCare also achieved the National Association for the Education of Young Children accreditation in July 2016. David Setzer, Executive Director said, "This provider has made quality child care their main priority and it shows tremendously through the work that they do. Currently 50% of their overall enrollment are children who are receiving subsidies, which means this provider does not receive their full tuition rate as they would with private pay families. For this reason alone, manageing a child care center can be a struggle."

Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas 47 child care providers who participate in TRS, five of which entered the program in the past year. These providers are monitored yearly and assessed every three years. Early Childhood Specialists work closely with TRS providers, as mentors and assessors, to ensure that these providers are operating within TRS standards.
