Dear Fourth
Grade Families,
Well, this week is one for the history books. On Monday morning, January 23rd, the fourth grade along with the rest of Sea Crest School, witnessed a spectacular hail storm, plastering the pavement with gumball sized icestones. Snack and recess were spent making "snowballs", staying warm inside, and collecting hail before it melted. It was a great day.
We are embarking on our first field trip this Friday to Mission Dolores, stepping back in time for our unit on immigration. Please remind your child to pack their backpack light with just a snack, lunch, and an extra layer. We will be walking several city blocks.
Thank you all for everything you do, for your children and us.
Sincerely,
Your Fourth
Grade Team
Lucinda Druck and Tyler Elliott

|
Math
How can we fit 100 students into 13 cars and keep it as even as possible?
|
Social Studies
The first case study in our Immigration unit is called "The Spanish Come to California a Long, Long Time Ago." We are exploring why the Spanish traveled to California and the impact they had on native peoples. We head to Mission Dolores this Friday!

Talking with your child is the best way to support classroom learning. The following questions can help you get started.
- What do vibrations have to do with sound?
- How can you learn more about a character?
