PHA Legislative Fly-in
We need you and other individuals at your hospital to attend the PHA Legislative Fly-In on December 6th and 7th. Come to Washington and tell Members of Congress why POHs must be allowed to expand, educate them on the high-quality and low-cost care you provide, and demonstrate your continued commitment to patient access and excellent patient satisfaction.
The lame duck session of Congress at the end of the year is our best opportunity to pass pro-POH legislation this year, so it is vitally important that we have all hands on deck for this event. PHA has built significant momentum and support for HR 2513, but no one knows your story like you do. Your Representative and Senators need to hear from you, and the PHA Fly-In is an excellent opportunity to have your voice heard.
PHA will schedule all meetings on Capitol Hill and provide all necessary meeting materials.
Please follow these links to register online for the December fly-in and to book your lodging at the Liaison Capitol Hill for our special rate (deadline November 15).

We are now conducting a Membership vote to approve the election and re-election of candidates to serve on the Board of Directors. One individual from each member organization, in most cases the chief executive, has been sent the ballot and asked to vote on behalf of his or her facility. If you are the individual who should be voting for your organization please check your email. The first call for member vote was sent concurrently with this month's newsletter. If you did not receive a ballot and believe that you should be the voting representative from your facility, please contact us at
info@physicianhospitals.org
.
The deadline to cast your vote is
Friday, November 18
. A quorum of 51% of voting members must vote in order for the election results to be valid, therefore it is very important that you cast your vote.
